Ikea Group is a global company that manufactures and sells kitchen, home and bedding accessories on their stores situated in 27 countries across the world. They are also known as a popular brand for high quality mattresses and other bedding accessories including mattress toppers.

Some of their popular toppers that are also called pillow tops include Trofors, Sultan Tjome, Sultan Tafjord and Sultan Torod. Most of their products are available on their 315 stores situated across the world along with their official online store.

Ikea Toppers Features

All of their mattress toppers come with machine washable covers. The covers mostly consist of polyester and cotton fabric. They are also easy to clean and maintain. Their mattress toppers are made up of high resilience foam along with an ability to relieve pressure. Some products like Sultan Torod are made up of natural fillings like natural latex and cotton. They are mostly thin, with 3 to 7 cm of thickness but the foam is manufactured to provide ultimate luxury and comfort. It is delivered in a roll pack and expands immediately after opening.

Praises

Customer feedback specifically about the Ikea toppers is limited even when online reputation about their mattresses is great. One of the reasons is their limited product line when it comes to mattress toppers. They only sell 4 types of toppers that are not very popular as the online feedback about them is very limited. Available customer feedback is also not favorable with many reported complaints from users. Few customers rated their toppers as comfortable and easy to move on but the thinner toppers are not for people who have weight.

Complaints

One of the major issues raised by users is the heat trap as few customers claimed that they had to wake up in the middle of the night due to heat buildup. Even though, users claimed that the comfort their products provide makes them sleep easily but after 4 to 5 hours, the mattresses become too hot to sleep. Smell issues are also reported as users claimed that the smell is hard to fade away. In one case, the smell is still present after the use of 5 months. Some other users had comfort issues while other consider this brand too expensive if compared to other similar brands.

Price Range

Price varies according to the thickness of their topper, the 3 cm thick Trofors is available for $79 while the thickest, 7 cm Sultan Torod is available for $299 that is little expensive is compared to other similar brands. Sultan Tjome and Sultan Tafjord are available for $129 and $229 respectively.

Lifespan and Warranty Terms

Even though, warranty for Ikea mattresses is 5 years, but for their mattress toppers, they offer mostly 5 years limited warranty. Ikea mostly except returns within 90 days of purchase and allows to exchange with the other product instead of offering direct refund.
